Two of my favorite people…

…and one who I probably would like as well!

Best of luck on the show!

Gracie Kendal at anándra Contemporary Arts Forum

The owners of anándra are privileged and proud to present the newest RL works of Gracie Kendal, in a show entitled “Convergence: Texture & Emotion” at anándra Contemporary Arts Forum in Chi.

Gracie is an established and well-respected member of the SL art community, who is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Art.  She has shown in several SL and RL shows and her works presently hang in over 30 RL private and public collections.

Gracie’s works are being presented as a series of limited editions, her first show comprising purely limited edition pieces, on display exclusively in the Main Gallery at anándra Contemporary Arts Forum in Chi, from October 1- November 15 2008.  These breathtaking works, created within the past month, will be formally introduced in an official exhibition opening on Sunday 12th October 2008, from 6pm to 8pm SLT.  The opening will be a formal attire event and will feature DJ Erasmus Margulis, providing a laid back atmosphere within which to dance and enjoy the fine art on display.

Oyster Bay Sculpture Garden and Aquarium

The arts market has proven to be one of the drivers of Second Life economic and cultural life. But Second Life is a different environment than the “RL world.” There are different drivers, different motivations to Second Life.

Oyster Bay Sculpture Garden and Aquarium revives the ArtTalk discussion format for one special evening…inviting guests to join Madcow Cosmos, Filthy Fluno, Gracie Kendal and Cheen Pitney as they discuss the different aspects of success in Second Life art. These four individuals, all considered “successful” by most, have taken different tracks to achieve their status.

What makes one successful – Money? Exposure? Creative freedom? So much to explore…and we’re going to discuss this concept. This wide-ranging discussion is not to be missed!

Go check out Princess Ivory’s blog, where she offers up some fine SL photography (of Gracie Kendal and Sasun Steinbeck’s Oyster Bay sculptures) and a recap of last night’s “Reintroduction” to Second Arts Photography.

Thank you for the kind words, Princess!
