The day after the world changed

I’ve pushed Barack Obama for President enough, so let me just say that I am very pleased.

There was great merriment in Second Life ™ last night, and I thought it would be good to recognize the temporary nature of the grid and document the many Obama-themed builds, “headquarters,” and gathering places to catch the election returns.  Here’s a slideshow, presenting a repreesentative sample of the user-created content applied to this very exciting election, taken the day after the world changed:

  1. Wow – you got some great shots. You should go to one of those online photo developing sites that will also let you put them in a book, and make a book about it. This election was legendary, in that I don’t think anything like it happened 4 years ago in SL. SL didn’t have the mainstream population that it does now. In fact, if you package your info right, with commentary and quotes from users, you might even entice a “real” publisher to pick it up and sign you! Wouldn’t that be great?!

As always, enjoyed seeing you last night!

  2. Thanks, Princess. Candidly, the builds weren’t the best I’ve ever seen. They did exude passion and excitement for the cause, though, and deserved to be catalogued.
