Another alternate SL viewer – with “object visibility muting”

Able Whitman developed a viewer (the Able Edition) that lets the user “mute” the visibility of objects in Second Life. On other viewers, people are allowed to mute the audio and chat coming from other users. Now, you apparently can mute entire objects from view.  I have yet to download it, but I’ll give it a try eventually.

This apparently is the user answer to obnoxious advertising on 16 square meter parcels….or, by muting ENTIRE parcels, you can now eliminate the view of that ugly next door neighbor (or their skybox!).

Honest, I’m not sure what I think about this. I do appreciate the ingenuity of residents who will take matters into their own hands like this.

Thanks to Clickable Culture for the heads up!
