Siobhan OFlynn stopped by Oyster Bay to look around, and we got to talking. As a long-time Second Life resident (since 2003!), Siobhan told me that she and her SL/RL husband are both proud owners of highly coveted Starax wands. After swapping stories about Starax’s art and its effect on Second Life, Siobhan kindly offered to display one of the few pieces in the wand that are not temp-to-rez, Starax’s snowman. Here it is on display at Oyster Bay:
We then proceeded to rez giant pocketwatches, screwdrivers and pails with surfing fairies. Most fun, however, was the wand-generated tanks, which we chased each other around the market and ended when she shot mine, bursting it into flames. No worries – it’s SL, so no blood was spilled!
Best news of all for Oyster Bay devotees is that Siobhan has graciously agreed to hold a “Wand party” at Oyster Bay for all comers. Hours and hours of rezzing fun, I gather! More news on that as it becomes available.
